Spicy fantasy  ·  heat & humor  ·  a little unhinged

Fairytales,
with heat.

A bit fairytale, a dash of romantasy, a splash of Star Trek, and tons of heat and humor. Fairytale creatures always sneak into my books. I've stopped fighting it.

The Lustful Blade of the Celestial Frontier

Ryker Starshadow and Vera Nyx haven't seen each other in nine years. Then Vera steals his ship. Now the former lovers are chasing a legendary lost treasure across the frontier, through space dragons disguised as pirates, a seductive siren captain, and a floating library that is very much alive.

It's a romance with heart, a treasure hunt with teeth, and funnier than it has any right to be.

Treasure Island got a fairytale upgrade, met Indiana Jones, then watched Romancing the Stone.

Marigold

A princess flees a castle grown into a single enormous tree, wearing a cloak stitched from the furs of seven dead queens. Hiding in plain sight is the only way out. Falling for the wrong man was never part of the plan.

A dark retelling of the old tale Princess Furball, and the first of The Forgotten Fairy Tales.

Seven pelts. One choice. A king who isn't what he seems. A crown that remembers.

GoldFire

A witch bound to a demon king she would rather see dead, a war between their kinds, and something in the dark that has started paying attention to both of them.

Book One is getting one more round of polish before it goes back out into the world.

Some bonds are written in gold. Others are burned into the soul.

Second chances are what I write, because I'm living one.

About seven years ago, my husband looked over at the Throne of Glass cover on my Kindle and asked how my "sexy space ninja pirate book" was coming along. That book became The Lustful Blade. It took a graphic novel detour, a long stretch on the shelf, and a full rewrite to get here. I don't regret any of it.

I came back to writing after years away, and I'm not leaving again. My books are where all my fantasy loves end up: old fables, obscure fairy tale lore, dragons, sirens, the fey, and a Starfleet-sized soft spot for space.

I live in a mountain town in Washington with my husband and two small dogs who keep bringing me "presents" I did not ask for. I plant marigolds so the deer leave everything else alone. Mostly it works.
